Position Overview:

The Multimedia Specialist is responsible for tape traffic and inventory and assists Producers and Developers in the production of all multimedia and online content.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned.

Manage media library and inventory, duplication requests, equipment and software purchases and inventories, subtitle and translation preparation, transcription services, and overall general administrative needs.

Assist in the production of multimedia and on-line content and collaborate in all phases of the pre-production, production, and post-production processes.

Track production and post-production material (including tapes, discs, audio recordings, consent forms, and information forms) and file necessary paperwork and materials in designated secure storage areas.

Record audio for on-line presentations and perform basic audio, video, and slide editing and on-line authoring, as requested.

Film Investigator Meetings and national or regional conferences as requested by project teams and manager.

Assist in the research, recommendation, and institution of new training products and materials.

­Define and improve production processes.

Maintain regular and effective communications with eLearning Managers, the Associate Director and project teams on a regular basis.

Skills & Competencies


Bachelor’s degree in communications, instructional technology, or multimedia preferred (e.g., video production, web design or authoring, curriculum design, event management, or multimedia development.) 


4 years experience or education in relevant business area (e.g., video production, web design or authoring, curriculum design, event management, or multimedia development.)

Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects, etc.)

Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Word or similar programs.

Affinity for computer and video technology, and a demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical problems.

Personal Attributes

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Team-oriented, with experience working cross-functionally, with internal and external clients.

Communicate clearly and professioally in both written form and verbally.

Work collaboratively and welcome constructive criticism to improve his/her product.

Ability to multitask with exceptional attention to detail
