Position Overview:

The Windows Administrator primarily assists in maintaining resources of Bracket’s Local Area Network (LAN). This includes, but is not limited to: performing technical administration, maintenance, and support for systems; diagnosis and resolution to workstation and technical problems; providing employee assistance and support on common desktop application and system issues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Note: Other duties may be assigned.

Provide 1st level support for internal consumers of Bracket desktop resources.
Promptly and efficiently provide Deskside assistance; responding to helpdesk issues via issue ticket, phone, web, or e-mail.
Prioritize and route second level support calls to proper personnel.
Install, configure, and thoroughly test all new computer system components and peripherals.
Troubleshooting PCs and printer problems, configuring and installing PCs and peripheral equipment, including software updates, system upgrades, etc.
Experience supporting/troubleshooting Microsoft Windows 7, Windows 10, and Microsoft Office suite to include Outlook. 
Familiar with PC imaging using Symantec Ghost, Dell Image Assist or similar technologies.
Participate in identifying new processes or improving existing processes.
Maintain an inventory of hardware, software, and miscellaneous computer and network supplies for immediate and/or planned future use.
Prepare all required documentation for the portion of work assigned and report.
Provide regular insight and overview on IT activities, issues, and project deliverables.
Perform other duties as required

Skills & Competencies

Education

Degree in related field or equivalent professional experience

Optional certifications in related field

Experience

Minimum 1 year experience in mixed protocol environment.

Working knowledge of Windows platforms with emphasis on Active Directory

Advanced hardware and software skills.

Working knowledge of SharePoint, Exchange, scripting/automation languages/tools a plus.

Working knowledge of FDA regulations for computerized systems preferred.

Excellent verbal and written skills, and proven customer service abilities, including the ability to communicate technical concepts verbally and in writing to non-technical employees.

Ability to quickly learn and apply new skills, procedures and approaches.

Demonstrated ability to meet very short deadlines & multi-task in an extremely fast-paced work environment with little direct supervision.

Proven ability to work in a team-oriented environment, providing back-up support to team members & establishing/maintaining effective work relationships with co-workers within and across functional areas.

Demonstrate extreme attention to detail and organization in all aspects of work.

Previously demonstrated proactive and positive approach to tasks and projects overall, as well as to the types of scheduling & process changes that are inherent in a fast-paced business.
