Position Overview:

The Business Development Analyst works with the business development, finance, operations, marketing and delivery teams to support the business development process lifecycle. Responsibilities include proposal development and refinement, drafting and review of budgets for pricing of proposals, and assisting in the preparation of change orders and contract execution when needed.

The position is based in our Wayne, PA headquarters.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Proposal Support

Support the geographically dispersed account managers with scoping needs, facilitating collection of the information required to scope studies and complete proposals,
Draft, edit, format and deliver complete and compelling proposals (including scope of work and budget), as well as responses to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs producing a high-quality product
Manage multiple proposal efforts, in various stages, concurrently.
Review all proposals and ensure that proposal scope matches the pricing scope. Work with the account managers to resolve scope discrepancies
Access and maintain library of proposal text and complete the majority of the first draft of each proposal written prior to involvement from delivery groups.
Maintain a comprehensive database of leads and proposals, and ensure frequent communication of lead/proposal status between business development and the delivery teams.
Maintain and ensure all correct BD materials surrounding BD process (protocol, budget and proposal) are archived appropriately
Facilitate BD hand-off meetings between business development and delivery teams.  Work with project managers to ensure smooth project transitions.

Contracts and Change Orders

Assist the Contracts department, as needed, with the following:

Prepare and administer MSAs, CDA’s, Service Agreements, Work Orders, Change Orders, and other relevant agreements
Manage the review and approval process of contracts following the defined contracting process
Prepare and administer change orders, assisting in pricing change orders and communicating pricing requests to the PM team
Administer any agreed upon change orders through the contracting process outlined above
Track the status of change orders and manage the process to obtain client authorization

Sales Support

Act as a first point of contact for any new leads that contact Bracket with inquiries and support account managers in follow up

Proposal Template and Proposal-Writing Process

Recommend changes to Proposal Template
See all Proposal Template changes through to completion
Work with account managers and operations leaders to ensure proposal template meets their needs and update it accordingly

Project Scoping        

Schedule scoping sessions between Sales, Project Delivery and Clinical teams
Drive scoping meetings by keeping participants on-track and ensuring that scoping objectives for BD are met
Formally track and report milestones related to the scoping process.
Identify best resources pertaining to specific opportunities that are being scoped
Maintain all reporting/metrics around scoping

Skills & Competencies

Education

Bachelor’s degree in business, science or related field with emphasis on writing (such as Communications or Journalism) preferred.

Experience

2-4 years of business experience in a role requiring management of internal and/or external client needs

Personal Attributes

Ability to work well with senior-level executives.

Must possess exceptional writing skills combined with the ability to readily grasp concepts, processes, and desired tone; ability to convert clinical/scientific input into intelligent, readable prose.

Must be self-directed, results-oriented coupled with strong attention to detail, strong people skills and sound judgment.

Positive attitude and strong client focus, with both internal and external customers

Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Adobe and Excel is required.

Ability to work well with multiple “internal customers” including Business Development team and operations
