Position Overview:

The eLearning Developer supports the full life cycle of eLearning design and delivery.  This position is responsible for creating, developing, and administering training programs and content including videos, instructional design, multimedia, and online media for the Learning Zone (Bracket’s LMS) and interactive CDs.  The eLearning Developer works closely with the eLearning Producers and Managers and with clinical specialists to ensure all content is both aesthetically and clinically appropriate.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned.

Develop instructional design materials including storyboards, scripts, other course content (including simulations, role play activities, case studies, performance support, experiential activities, pre- and post-tests, and student and facilitator directions) for guided, self-paced, blended, or instructor-led learning solutions.

Develop and implement dynamic and creative interactive design solutions including graphics, video, animation, audio, music, and simulations as appropriate.

Edit using Adobe Suite of applications or similar to create compelling, high-end training and education media and training materials for multi-platform delivery. 

Collaborate with clinical specialists and subject matter experts on course objectives and content.

Duties may include creation of high-quality English subtitle files and translated transcripts for videos and other media deliverables.

Duties may include Learning Zone (Bracket’s LMS) administration tasks such as generating user reports, creating users, creating courses and assessments, and logging technical tickets amongst others.

Provide technical support and management on virtual meeting projects.

Assist with the delivery of Bracket’s web conferencing services.

Assist with testing of Learning Zone (Bracket’s LMS) enhancements.

Assist with Product Innovation development team as needed.

Deliver internal training for the Learning Zone (Bracket’s LMS) and web conferencing platforms, as needed.

Assist in the research and development of online training products and materials, working with content experts, project teams, Producers, and Managers.

Work in partnership with eLearning staff to ensure effective production and post-production workflow of multiple projects.

Provide mentoring and training to Production Coordinators and Project Assistants in production techniques, equipment and resource management, and in current technologies and applications

Maintain effective communications with eLearning teams and project teams on a regular basis.

Ensure project deliverables are delivered on-time, of high quality, and exceed client’s expectations through general review and QC.

Skills & Competencies


Bachelor’s degree in communications, multimedia, instructional design or technology preferred (e.g., media production, web design or development, curriculum design, event management, or eLearning development.) 


4 or more year’s education or experience in relevant business area (e.g., media production, web design or development, curriculum design, instructional design or technology, event management, or eLearning development.) 

Affinity for computer and video technology, and an ability to troubleshoot technical problems.

Aptitude to develop innovative, creative and highly interactive design solutions in e-learning environments.

Experience with rich media content development and authoring tools, the Adobe and/or Apple Production Suites, and web applications such as HTML, HTML5, Dreamweaver, Captivate, Presenter, Articulate, and Flash or similar products required.

Knowledge of e-learning instructional design methodologies/tools or experience with media production and post-production preferred.
